U-Crush-It Mobile Mini crusher hire is a family owned and run business based in Alsop en le Dale in the heart of the Peak National Park. It was set up as a farm diversification project following the rebuilding of the farm yard. A major part of the work involved taking up an old concrete farm yard to re-level and re-lay with block paving. We were very keen to re-cycle the rubble into aggregate and started to look for a machine to do the job. At the time we couldn’t find a small enough machine to get on site.
Disappointed at wasting money and resource, the rubble was taken away and we had to buy in fresh aggregate from a local quarry. Knowing that we had more work to do, Chris kept searching until we discovered the “Amazing Green Crushing Machine”, a mini crusher small enough to fit through the stable door, but man enough to do the job! We were so impressed that we decided to share our amazing discovery so acquired an Amazing Green Crushing Machine to hire out to others who have the same dilemma by setting up a new business called U-Crush-It.
U Crush It is run by Chris, a Chartered Civil Engineer who has had 40 years experience within the construction industry both in the UK and abroad, assisted by Christine and their daughter Clare who is an Environmental Scientist and data base designer
Church Farm is also the home to the Alsop Herd of pedigree Gloucester Cows one of England’s rarest breed of cattle and to Church Farm Holiday cottages, Derbyshire (www.churchfarmholidaycottages.co.uk ). Both business’ have has been awarded the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark as an acknowledgement of the environmental way in which they are run.
